Meet the Policy Staff

Meghan Sapp (meghan @pangealink.org)
Secretary General

Meghan brings to PANGEA more than 10 years experience in agriculture and a true passion for biofuel production in Africa. As a consultant to LDCs during the reform of the EU sugar regime, she received first hand experience on the inner-workings of the Brussels corridor and has continued to hone those skills for the benefit of PANGEA’s members. She has worked hands-on developing biofuel production projects in Africa, experience that she hopes to pass on to members and PANGEA’s audience alike.

Paula Gruendling (paula @pangealink.org)
Analyst

Paula hails from Brazil and brings to PANGEA her experience and contacts thanks to more than 10 years in banking—including as part of the sugar desk for Fortis Bank in London where she was in charge of the bank's Brazilian clients. Her MSc in Population and Development from the London School of Economics honed her analysis skills towards biofuels and the issues of resource scarcity and sustainability.

Briana Sapp (Briana@pangealink.org)
Project Manager

Briana combines her policy and programme management experience from her time at the Embassy of Malawi in Brussels as the Social Projects Manager with her BA in World Politics from the American University of Paris and her MA in International Politics from the European Centre for International and Strategic Research (CERIS) – Université de Paris-Sud. She further developed her programme management experience by working on health programmes in Africa funded by USAID. She brings a fresh perspective on the best ways to bridge African governments, ministries and companies with their European counterparts.
