PANGEA is developing its African Biofuel Project Database (ABPD) in order to better understand how and where Africa’s biofuel industry is developing. This on-going project began in late 2008 and will continue to be developed throughout 2009 with quarterly update beginning in 2010. At the moment the graphic representing the database is based on preliminary research and is by no means conclusive. Later versions of the database will include more detailed analysis including project size, public vs. private and production capacity as well as export volumes.
